I wasn't sure how 'unstable' the newest versions could be. The setup size is more significant, as well. The macOS download of LibreOffice 6.2 is only more than 250 MB, while the OpenOffice 4.1 installer is approximately 185 MB. I am just trying to get a feel for how I will need to stay on top of having the best, most usable version at all times, but I am not into being experimental, I pretty much need my program to be dependable. LibreOffice is a bigger download than OpenOffice however, unless you are bandwidth restricted, this should not matter much. When that becomes the 'fresh' version, does the one considered fresh/on the edge now just move to the position the stable version is and is it considered the stable version, or will any bugs be fixed before that happens? Is it easy to upgrade 'from the program' to the next version, or do you have to uninstall and reinstall to get a newer version? KDE NEON is compatible with whatever software for Ubuntu (that's the great thing).
